Levi & Sinclair are pleased to announce that the Honourable M. Raymond Bachand, Minister of Finance for the Province of Quebec, has named Philip C. Levi as the representative of the public to the Board of Directors of the Chambre de la Sécurité Financière for a three year term effective June 15, 2010.

 

The Chambre de la sécurité financière is a self-regulatory organization that oversees more than 32,000 professionals who work in the financial products and services industry in Quebec. The Chamber is governed by the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services (ADFPS) and the Act respecting the Autorité des marches financiers.

 

Its mission is to protect consumers by maintaining discipline and overseeing the training and ethics of its members. The Chamber carries out its mission by stringently monitoring the practices and continuously upgrading the knowledge of these professionals
