Welcome to our third issue of our members only newsletter for 2016.

One of the Vancouver conference sessions revealed some superb quality Business Referrals among firms. We are happy to share with you examples of interaction and business among our members. Let us know about your contact with other Integra member firms so that we can report about it in the next issue of our newsletter. The information is used when we are recruiting new member firms - it shows the true value proposition of an Integra membership.

And speaking of new members, we are pleased to announce the admittance of six new firms. I encourage you to drop them a short note to welcome them to Integra.

We are also happy to report several interesting happenings involving our members in  Member News.

The Annual May Conference is a Success!

Yet another great get together took place in Vancouver May 12 - 14 at the Annual May 2016 Conference in Vancouver produced by the AAANZ Regional Chapter and local host firm Gilmour Group. There were 119 people registered including spouses and children. Our keynote speaker, Joe Nemeth, provided interesting insights into the pulp and paper industry - one of the largest industries in Canada, yet somehow it seemed as if he were talking about the accountancy profession. Terry Small held us in awe as he talked about how our brains function and how it can make you more efficient in business and life! In between there were presentations from Integra members on taxes, accounting, marketing and more. A total of 8 CPE credit hours were awarded. If you want to access any of the presentations for viewing and/or downloading, they have all been uploaded onto our Google drive. Grant Gilmour and his team are to be congratulated for an excellent job.

New Members

Inside Integra apologizes to our new member firm in Hyderabad, India for not recognizing in our previous issue their acceptance into membership. Niranjan & Narayan joined in January, 2016. Just prior to the Vancouver conference both the AAANZ Regional Chapter Board and the Global Board held their business meetings. Again the top priority of both groups is to increase resources and services for existing members and our number of members in order to be able to provide even more services to the entire membership.

The target goal remains 150 members by the end of 2017.  Each regional chapter board member has been given responsibility to find potential members in specific locations. The link to our most current membership statistics is always reflected in "real time." Just remember it fluctuates up and down depending on the time you review the statistics.


Business Referrals

Business referrals in April and May have been very impressive. During the Vancouver conference 23 people stood up and talked about the interaction they had with other Integra members. Some of the referrals have become ongoing engagements while others have helped fellow professionals run their businesses better. No matter how large or small the contact has been, they reflect on the success of our association. Integra works!

Other News

Member Database and International Directory

The new and improved International Directory has now been delivered to all members. Please review the details we have for your firm.  The directory is intricately linked to our web site so updating the details of each firm in the printed directory will occur concurrently with updates to our website. 

We’ve asked each member firm to ensure that all professional staff are included in our database so that Integra can directly send our newsletters and conference information to them. We want to thank the many firms that submitted the information. However, there still remains a gap between the number of professional staff according to our membership statistics (3,566) and our mailing database (787). 

We realize that not all staff in your firm speak English but by them receiving information directly from Integra, they will feel part of the organization. They are the future leaders of your firm and it will benefit the firm in the long run.

If you are the main contact person for your firm, please respond with the names and e-mail addresses of all your professional staff. This can only help your firm experience the power of your Integra membership by engaging your entire staff in what's happening at Integra.

Annual June 2016 Conference - Oslo, Norway

The invitations for the annual June conference were sent several weeks ago and periodic reminders have followed. The sender of the invitation and reminders is Renee Dominique. Because she is new to Integra, some e-mail systems are directing her mail into spam folders. If you have not received the invitation please check your spam folder and adjust your settings or contact Renee to resolve the issue. All the planning has been completed and all conference details are available for viewing on our website including links to the hotel, the agenda and a video about Oslo.
