Hello from
Integra.
The world
appears to
change more and
more every day.
The last few
months have seen
difficulties in
many countries
due to natural
and man-made
disaster.
However, we must
all remain
strong and
positive. It is
imperative that
during these
difficult times
we support each
other to help
clients mitigate
losses and help
them for a
brighter future
ahead. Also,
remember you can
count on your
fellow Integra
members for
assistance and
know that the
organization
stands with you.
Not all is doom
and gloom if you
stick with your
Integra
colleagues. May
and June are
always exciting
months at
Integra. Our May
Conference in
Vancouver and
our June
Conference in
Oslo were great
successes. We
elected new
Regional Council
Boards, which I
will announce in
my CEO message,
and enjoyed
great education
and networking.
In this issue we
hear about
Brexit from Mark
Saunders and
Norman Cowan,
who have
experienced
Brexit first
hand. As we
first mentioned
in our e-mail to
you, patience
and risk
mitigation are
the keys to
Brexit as to not
let it affect
your business
and that of your
clients.
Then we come to
Kieran
McCarthy’s
insights on how
family business
planning and
superb customer
service can help
a business
survive during
difficult
economic times.
This is followed
by an article by
Marzena Richter
on the new bank
tax in Poland.
Bank
responsibility
fees were
designed to
curtail risky
subprime lending
in Western
economies. However,
in Poland this
tax is to raise
funds for the
financing of the
new Polish
government's
child benefit
initiative
“500+”.
Something good
that comes from
a tax.
Finally, Alberto
Vettoretti
shares with us
the importance
of Chinese New
Year and how to
prepare for it
if you do
business with
China.
Remember,
Integra staff
and member
leaders are
available to
help when you
need it, so
don’t hesitate
to contact me or
anyone on the
Integra team.
Our next
conference is
October 20-22 in
Cape Town, South
Africa and I
hope to see you
there.
Warm Regards,
Maria Nazario,
CAE
Chief Executive Officer
