Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Company Merges in JL Hofmann & Associates, Names John Hofmann Partner

MIAMI – Accounting and tax advisory firm Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Company (KSDT) today announced it has merged in JL Hofmann & Associates, a Coral Gables, Fla.,-based firm with more than 25 years of experience providing accounting, tax and pre-immigration planning services to multinational individuals, families and businesses.

Under the terms of the merger, JL Hofmann’s staff of 6 professionals joined KSDT, where John Hofmann has been named partner.

Prior to founding JL Hofmann & Associates in 1990, John Hofmann, CPA, was a senior manager in the Miami office of Price Waterhouse Coopers where he worked with some of South Florida’s most recognizable businesses and traveled the world providing tax and IRS compliance consulting services to multinational companies. He holds a master’s degree in Taxation from Florida International University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.

With a strong commitment to giving back to the community where he works, Hofmann is a founding director of the Hofmann Family Foundation, which provides grants to a broad range of Miami-based charities and community-based organizations. In addition, he is as a trustee for and past chairman of Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership, and a member of the University of Miami’s Golden Cane Society.
