Catching up with Gerard Esposito at Leaf Saltzman in New York, NY, USA

What date did your office close?
Technically, it never closed but for safety reasons my staff and I are all working remotely.
Briefly describe your practice and how many staff?
Our practice is primarily corporate tax based and have 3 staff members assigned.
How has the lockdown order affected your business?
We are servicing all clients remotely but unable to visit premises for certain ones.
What advice would you give to Integra Members?
Stay in touch with staff, prepare a weekly workload projection, monitor progress, ask questions, speak several times a day and provide feedback. With clients, we touch base via telephone or Zoom on at least at least a monthly basis for information on their health and safety as well as the health of  their businesses.  Additionally we contact clients on an as needed basis for completion of projects and compliance.  We always assist with requests, timely, and perform pro-bono work, if required, on clients in tentative business situations.  We prepare current topical email updates on the current economic loan information.  We ask for invoice payments to be remitted via ACH since we are all working remotely and not receiving mail, and make sure we thank them for these payments.
